At the time of writing, I’m 27 years old, and IT Manager/Systems Administrator for a DNA Sequencing company (Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd.).  I hold a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification, CompTIA Security+, Linux Professional Institute Level 1 certification, a fair bit of Cisco experience and enough web design experience to know it is for other people.  Oh and I’m a pretty dab hand at rather complex networks too.

At work, I tend to keep the Microsoft line, using Linux where necessary and appropriate. 

Out of the office I like to keep as open a technological mind as possible, running both Windows 7, and Mac OS X, along with a smattering of Linux (Ubuntu and Maemo, although the latter is in sharp decline).

On those rare occasions away from the computer, I can be found in the kitchen (most likely making bread) or reading a good bit of sci-fi/sci-fantasy, often with coffee.

Even further outside, I like cycling, climbing, kayaking and even the occasional bit of photography.
